SKIP IT: The Darkest Hour

This movie was a cheesy version of “War of the Worlds”.
Alien beings in the form of light energy turn people to dust in order to mine the earths metals.  The actors all did a good job but were screwed from the git-go by the cheesy plot and dialogue.

This movie represents our willingness to accept technology that we don’t fully understand (ie how a cellphone works), and attempts to exploit our fear of the unknown by combining the two concepts.

Basically, this movie is WHEN CELL PHONES ATTACK.
